If the property asked you to pay the screening fee, you will receive an itemized receipt. This article explains what the receipt shows.

What the fee covers

The screening fee covers the verification checks that make up your screening. The property decides whether you or the property pays this fee. If the property is paying, you will not be charged. See Whether you or the property pays the fee.

Reading your receipt

Your receipt lists the total amount charged to your payment method.
