# How to verify your income with a bank connection

## Connect a bank account to verify your income from your deposits.

Connecting a bank account verifies your income from the deposits into your account. This is a good option if your income does not come from a single payroll provider.

**Steps**

1. At the income step, choose the option to connect a bank account.
2. Select your bank and sign in with your online banking credentials.
3. Grant permission to share the information needed to confirm your income for this screening.
4. Your verified income is added to your application automatically.

**Good to know**

- The connection is read only. It is used to confirm your income for this screening and does not allow anyone to move money.
