How to add a co-tenant or co-applicant

Add another adult who will live in the home so each person completes their own steps.

If more than one adult will live in the home and be on the lease, each one is added to the same application as a co-applicant. Everyone completes their own verification steps.

Steps

  1. During your application, choose the option to add another applicant.
  2. Enter the co-applicant name and email.
  3. The co-applicant receives their own link and completes their own identity, income, and other required steps.

How income is counted

When the property evaluates affordability, the income of the primary applicant and any co-applicant is combined and compared against the rent. A co-signer or guarantor is different from a co-applicant. See How to add a co-signer or guarantor.

When the application is complete

The application is ready for the property to review once every person has finished their required steps.
